finished almost all of the core functionality today!

added:

• hover overlay that appears on any image
• displays image resolution,
• file type
• file size
• aspect ratio
• displayed (rendered) dimensions
• smart positioning so the overlay stays on screen
• smooth smexy animations
• Metadata caching to avoid repeatedly fetching the same image
• minimal settings popup with apple inspired toggles to enable/disable individual fields and the extension itself

only major thing left before it’s finalised is designing an icon :DD
