Cosmic Pioneers

I implemented the click navigation functionality for the astronaut images; clicking them now routes to their sub-pages. Next up, I will work on researching, writing, and designing the specific biography layouts for the astronauts.

I finished the core structure and styling for the main landing page of Cosmic Pioneers . What I did in this update: Created the main layout, setting up the framework for the 6 pioneering female astronauts. Designed a custom polkadot background and integrated pixel/retro-style typography to match the space-era theme. Styled individual profile cards for each astronaut (Valentina Tereshkova, Svetlana Savitskaya, Sally Ride, Mae Jemison, Peggy Whitson, and Christina Koch) using CSS to make them look like clean, vintage polaroid photos. Next Steps: I am moving on to implementing JavaScript. I will be coding the interactions so that clicking on an astronaut’s photo dynamically guides the user to their personalized, custom-themed biography page!

Hello! For my project, I wanted to highlight the powerful and inspiring stories of women who made history in space exploration.My website features 6 extraordinary women astronauts. The most unique part of this project is the personalized design: when you click on an astronaut’s profile, the entire page transforms into a color palette and style inspired by their favorite things and personality.
