This is the main design that I have put together to follow in building the hardware aspects of the project. I planned out all of the features that I wanted it to have and compiled a list of all of the parts that it would need and their general connections. I then made a general design (with a little trial and error) and ran a fairly successful simulation of the circuit and fixed any small wiring mistakes. Some issues I came across: My original plan was to use a range of different displays (LCD1602, single & four digit seven segment displays and an LED matrix) for a much more interesting experience when actually using the deck, however I quickly realised that there were definitely not enough digital OR analog pins on the uno r3, so I decided to use only the LCD1602 display and some nicely arranged coloured LEDs for stats and hit points. A little annoying but will make the software development easier. Anyways, it’s not looking too bad and I’m hoping to write 2-3 mini games that you can switch around on it.
