Apex Aerospace Studio is a professional aerospace engineering platform that combines rocket flight simulation, aerodynamic nose cone optimization, and mission patch design into a single engineering workspace. Built with the look and feel of real aerospace software, it provides engineering-grade visualizations, analytical tools, and design utilities for students, researchers, and rocketry teams.io

Ship #1

Apex Aerospace Studio is a premium, professional sounding-rocket engineering workstation. The application provides an interactive suite of five modules designed with a clean, grid-based layout:

Overview Dashboard: Displays 2D structural blueprints annotated with dynamic Center of Gravity (CG) and Center of Pressure (CP) flags.
Rocket Failure Explorer: Simulates flight kinematics using a 2D Euler integration engine that models thrust, gravity, aerodynamics, rotational torque, and recovery failures. Telemetry is plotted on synchronized Cartesian charts.
Nose Cone Optimization Lab: Generates CAD profile geometries (conical, tangent ogive, Von Karman) and compares subsonic/supersonic drag coefficients on a five-axis radar pentagon.
Mission Patch Studio: Creates custom vector SVG insignia badges using curved path typography and orbital trajectory templates.
Documentation Hub: Hosts flight formulas and design standards.
The software runs fully offline as a portable, flat bundle of index.html, style.css, and app.js with zero dependencies.

Today’s progress was focused on the web frontend. I finished working on the index.html file and pushed the latest changes to the GitHub repository. This sets up the basic structure and keeps the project up to date for the next development tasks.

Started building the index.html file by setting up the basic HTML structure, metadata, and linking the stylesheet. Added a professional header with the project logo, navigation tabs, system status indicator, and a Save Config button. This establishes the core layout that CSS will style and JavaScript will make interactive.

Hit a big milestone today just crossed 2,000 lines of code on the project! The core systems are now coming together, including a physics-based rocket flight simulator with wind, stability, recovery, and failure modeling. I also built a scientific charting engine, live telemetry visualization, nose cone design and aerodynamic analysis tools, CAD-style blueprint generation, and a customizable mission patch generator. Most of the foundation is now in place, and the next phase will focus on polishing the UI, expanding features, and improving the overall experience.
