IGNITIONBENCH DEVLOG 000IgnitionBench is an AI-assisted rocket motor design tool I’m building for hobbyist rocketeers. Right now, if you’re a NAR/TRA hobbyist without an engineering degree, your options are professional tools built for engineers (OpenRocket, BurnSim, RASAero II) or a pile of spreadsheets and manual math. IgnitionBench closes that gap by pairing real rocket science with plain-language guidance and an AI mentor that sits alongside the calculators instead of just spitting out numbers. three main pillars. Propellant– a guided APCP database (KNSB, KNDX, HTPB) with an interactive Kn ratio calculator and plain-language, Nozzle engine — a full de Laval nozzle calculator: throat/exit area, expansion ratio, thrust coefficient (Cf), characteristic velocity (c*), specific impulse (Isp), with a live visual diagram explanations of every parameter, 3D design + simulation — grain geometry modeling (BATES, star, finocyl), animated burn regression, a 1D flight simulator, and export to .ENG/STL for OpenRocket or 3D printing. Ignitionbench is aimed for the hobbyist rocketry group. Github Link
