Terranaut is an open-source, gamified fitness platform designed to motivate users to get outside and explore their surroundings. Serving as a privacy-friendly, highly engaging alternative to Strava, the app transforms running, cycling, and walking into real-world quests.
I have spent quite a bit of time narrowing down what this project will
be and how it will be built. I re-wrote the README to document the
project’s future plans and added a mini-roadmap. Additionally, I created
a basic structure of the code behind the project, setting up a blank
React website and Expo mobile app. Finally, I set up the structure
behind my forgejo instance. Essentially, I will do all the coding and
PRs on my own forgejo code repository which will be mirrored to the
github repo. This way, I can manage my own repository without
distractions from other users. Issues and feature can still be created
on the github side using the templates where high quality reports will
be tracked on forgejo.
