A Rubix cube 3x3x3 Algorithm trainer
Setting up the input framework for RubixC! Wrote a custom useKeyboard React hook to map standard virtual cubing keys (I, J, K, L, F, H) to U, D, L, R, F, B faces. Also wired up Shift for prime moves and Alt for double moves. The keys are successfully registering in the console, but they don’t actually turn the 3D model yet. That will come next
“Wired up the generateWcaScramble function in TypeScript today for the Rubix Cube. Implemented the logic to check against the previous move and opposite faces, ensuring every 20-move sequence is fully WCA-compliant (no redundant moves like U U’ or R L R). Linked it straight to the frontend UI.
First session down for the Speedcubing Algorithm Trainer. Spent the hour drafting the 3x3x3 model geometry and getting the individual cubies locked in before I start wiring up the rotation logic.
