Devlog 01

Heading into this project with no prior experience!
Everything was confusing; I spent at least 1 hour just figuring out how a keyboard works. The other hour was spent on installing all the apps and figuring out how to connect Hackatime. Here’s a very simple schematic draft!
I’m trying to make a macropad that will help me with drawing and notetaking. Here are the keys I’m going for (for now):

  • ctrl + z (undo)
  • ctrl + c (copy)
  • ctrl + v (paste)
  • Windows + shift + s (screenshot)
  • Brightness
  • Volume
The last two require rotary switches, but I’m still figuring that out.

To do:

  • 2 rotary switches
  • Assign roles for 2 switches
  • Start routing PCB
