Hardware implementation that detects extravasation.
Hardware implementation that detects extravasation.
After talking to an electrical engineer through our network, I have fixed some issues in the PCB design that have been flagged. I made sure the decoupling caps are as close as possible and also made some rerouting for more organized tracing. Another issue that was brought up was why a 2-layer board. Had we used a 4-layer board that consisted of 2 signals, 1 power, and 1 ground plane, we would have an easier time routing the traces and isolating the analog component to ensure parasitic noise doesn’t affect it. But since this is not a high-frequency board, I guess for the bare minimum, a 2-layer board can do for now. We are still currently in the validation stage. However, my teammate has already bought some of the parts that we need, and I am now waiting for the review process to finish and the parts to arrive to begin assembly.
Extrava is a hardware implementation that detects extravasation. Extravasation is caused by leakage of medicine or fluids from sources such as IVs. I am not alone on this project. In my team, I am the engineering lead that is responsible for the hardware + the system architecture of the project.
Finished the schematics, layout, and cad design. Also updated the BOM so my teammates know what to buy.
