I had previously made a speaker box on tinkercad. I thought since Im going to properly make this I might as well try a proper software. I learnt onshape just to remake the model.
THe hardest part wasnt the modeling since its basically just a box with 3 holes in it. The hardest part was the research and math involved with audio design.
This project is for a pair of speaker drivers I took out of an old car and almost no information could be found about them. Because of this I choose to not make a ported box because of done wrong it can actually make the speaker sound worse. Instead, I will will putting dampening material inside and making the box heavy to reduce shaking and hopefully making the speaker drivers sound better.
Next I’m going to print the bottom half and wait until I have more filament to print the entire thing.
