For my first work session, I selected components for my open-source AirTag with more than just BLE functionality. I knew that I wanted the following modes of locating the device:
- BLE w/ OpenHaystack support
- LoRa
- GPA/GNSS
- Accelerometer
Based on that, I began selecting components. I prioritized ultra low-power components to conserve battery life as much as possible. Additionally, I also looked at form factor and how easy it would be to wire it into a schematic. Attached are my final component selections.
