I built a fully functional WebOS that runs in the browser! It features a top bar with a live clock, multiple draggable windows, a Notes app where you can type,and a Themes app to change the background color.
Getting the JavaScript dragging logic to work smoothly on a mobile touchscreen without the page scrolling everywhere was tough, but I figured out how to use pointer events!.
Theme Switcher because I built the logic for them entirely from scratch.
Click the icons on the desktop to open the apps. Drag the windows around by the grey title bar, and close them using the red ‘X’ button. Try changing the theme to “Ocean Blue”!

Final devlog for WebOS 1! I built a fully working Calculator app with a grid of buttons and JavaScript math logic. My OS now has 4 draggable apps. It runs perfectly in the browser. Ready to ship!

Added my first apps! I created a Welcome window and a Notes app where I can type. I also added a Themes app that lets me change the background color of the whole OS to dark, light, or blue. This is my custom feature for the mission!

Today I built the foundation of my WebOS! I set up my HTML file, created a dark desktop background, and added a top bar with a live, working clock. I also wrote JavaScript to make my first window draggable and closeable. Super excited to keep building!
