GEM 1.0 is officially completed after approximately 4 hours.
The guide was extremely helpful, though my browser is full of questions like “How do I find my public key?”😂. In the end, it was all worth it, especially since the end product is my first-ever Slack bot that can respond to messages 24/7 (thanks to NEST 🙏). Now GEM responds to 8 different types of commands, including a /gem-help command that will give you a guide to each command and what they’d do!
At first, I didn’t know what to expect from this project, but later I would learn that that’s kind of the point. It’s a great project to familiarize yourself with Stardance and the different apps connected to it, and I can’t wait to do more of these projects. Slowly but surely, navigating these apps becomes more fluid, and my technical skills improve as I go.
Overall Ranking: ⭐⭐⭐
Future Plans: I’d love to continue and build on this project overtime, so that GEM becomes my personal AI assistant, similar to Tony Stark’s JARVIS, having it respond to a wider variety of commands, programming a command-by-voice option, and giving it a personality.
