I am building a macropad called "Veloxpad". It will have 8 keys, a rotary encoder, and an OLED display. The purpose of this macropad is to improve my speed and efficiency when designing. But due to the limited number of pins available on the XIAO, I decided to use only the rotary function of the rotary encoder.
