I finalized the PCB and started working on the case design. I just now realized that I need my hackpad to be less than 100x100mm so I cut it in half somewhat and reduced the keys from 17 to 12 in order to save space. I put a JST 6-pin connector down so I can add the other 5 keys later on in a separate modular-like hackpad instead. I’m inquiring whether this is allowed or not still but I’m confident it’ll be fine.

I pulled an all nigher but it was worth it I couldn’t sleep without getting this done. I’m completely done with the PCB section of the hackpad and I’m moving onto CAD and 3D designing the case to hold everything in. I added a 1x3 connector at the top which I hope will be funded by Hack Club it isn’t much it’s just something to enable me to develop this PCB into something more in the future. I’ve had it all planned out and I think it fits the criteria for being funded especially with how cheap these things are. Anyways, next session I plan to start designing the case and everything and really bringing this project to life.
