I’m almost done modeling this! The middle body was rlly hard for me to model since I wanted it to have this snap lock hanger for my watch and bracelets and then it has a camfollower thing inside that hopefully if it works pushes out my usb and sd card as I turn the part
Though next session I’ll do these fixes cuz i just realized it won’t work without these and i’m too tired to do it rn

1. Remove threads on hanger body, replace with smooth insert like the one I made under the pencil holder
2. The camfollower connects to pole that goes through hanger body from top of drawer section, act as pivot

Today I modeled the camfollower (idk what it’s called but it’s supposed to pushed things out when rotated, don’t have a pic rn) and also finally figured out how to make easy male and female threads. This whole thing took a lot of crashing out on freeCAD haha but I’m finally getting somewhere! So my plan is to have the drawer, hanger for my watch & braceletes and slots for usb and my sd card.

If you’re wondering why I’m adding threads it’s because

1. to learn
2. I will print at a library like 30 minutes from here and I can only at max print for 4 hours so I need to find a way to do one section at a time then assemble them together lol.

So I also learned how to add joints in assembly so I can see it coming together. Next session I’ll finish up the cam follower thing and fix up the hanger measurements because it doesn’t quite fit and this thing is already stressing me out.

Then after those are done I just need to add a sticky note holder + a pencil holder on top and done! (+ a second drawer but I just need the same drawer piece twice for that)

I modelled the hanger part but oh my days this took so long just because FreeCad kept giving me errors lol but I’m one step closer to finishing OEDO!

Today I learned how to do threads so I can at some point screw them together ig since I’ll be printing them seperately, I also modelled the simple base platform for it

I’m finalizing my deskpet v1: just a simple working prototype since this project is intended as a learning project so I won’t expand on it too much.

Today I got it to take water intake logs through a button you press and it reminds you to open a window or drink water while you’re working.

Initially wanted to add a screen but I ran out of jumper wires:/
Flipping hell I missspelled deskpet on lapse so the hardware part isn’t recorded aka about 15 minutes of me debugging a button only to find out it was faulty

Tried adding music to the buzzer lol and added a water sensor to remind to drink

The code + prototype circuit. My first time using these sensors for an actual project!
