I made a NASA APOD Explorer that fetches NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day using the NASA API. It shows the daily image or video along with its title and explanation.
The challenging part was getting the API connection working and making sure the API key stayed out of the public code. I also had to set up the project with Vite and deploy it through GitHub Pages.
I’m proud that I was able to take the basic guide project and change the design to make it more colorful and my own.
To test it, open the project using the Try project button. It will load NASA’s APOD and display the current picture or video and its information.
