I made a custom slack bot with 5 different commands. One struggle that I faced was getting the nasa command to work, as it said failed to fetch api key after a while. I fixed this by changing the code to also use the free nasa api key incase mine didnt work, and after deploying those changes it started working again. You can test my bot by doing /ninjabot in a channel.

I created a custom slack bot! I followed the tutorial and registered the bot on slack api. Next, I created a project in vs code and set up the code. After testing it (it worked!), I pushed to github and started deploying it to nest. This was new to me as I don’t have much experience working with the terminal or cmd, but now I am more familiar. I added an ability to do /ninjabot-nasa pic, which goes to a nasa website and fetches the text + picture of the day.
