Today, I worked on making a roulette table inspired fidget slider. The prototype was pretty good, but I intend on making revision on the ergonomics and design.
I shortly worked on variations for my mini magnetic slider! I wasn’t expecting anything amazing from my test print of a tiny magnetic slider, but it turns out to be really compact and fun!
Today, I shortly worked on a simpler version of my project, the Cloud Lite. It’s practically a smaller and top-caseless version of it, which I made to test out how it will feel.
Today, I updated the clearances once again on my Cloud Slider. The two edges that the slider touches with the case is increase by 1.5mm each, and I hope this will help it glide smoothly. I also adjusted the support settings so that it can be more easily removed.
Today, I worked on finishing my 3D printed, magnetic slider fidget. It is mainly designed to resemble a cloud, with a small cloud logo on the slider knob. However, I sorta messed up the first prototypes print cuz I forgot to add supports… :(
Today, I worked shortly on a new design: the Cloud Slider. I created a simple base, and top enclosure, but am still figuring out how to make a cloud shape.
My project is done!!! (for real this time) This is my Honeycomb Clicker, a 3D printed magnetic fidget clicker with satisfying magnets and iconic hexagonal designs all around the model. Go to my Github page to print it (Page name is, “Honeycomb Clicker”)! As for today, I finished working on my Github repo by adding a BOM, assembly instructions, and a photo.
FINALLY! My Honeycomb Clicker is nearly done! All I did for this revision was adjusting the magnet clearances and adding a notch for an assembly guide. I also made a version with 2 magnets on each side!
Today, I worked on my 3rd revision of my Honeycomb Clicker. It was mostly clearance issues, again, but I also added 2 small hexagons to indicate which side is supposed to align with which.
For this work period, I fixed mistakes and errors from my first iteration of my Honeycomb Clicker. After a test print, many problems were clear, such as clearance issues and warped walls. Hopefully my changes can fix them!
Today, I worked on fixing on small errors. For example, I forgot to add clearances for all of the moving parts, so I updated the measurements. The next steps are to slice it in Bambu Studio and do a test print!
Today, I worked on my 3d CAD clicker. As I was working on it, the projct got harder and harder since I kept on trying to make it more detailed. Some key improvements are the designs on the switch it self, and the more precise angles and measurements. The only thing that bothers me is because I didn’t record the timelapse for the first 2 hours…
