I'm a beginner coder, and 3d modeler. I have a scratch account under the same username and have made several projects there. Currently, I'm trying to figure out JavaScript in sprig. It's a lot harder than scratch.

Over the past week or so, I reworked the controls. I did this so I could add some sort of long range weapon. the long range weapon would be able to hit more enemies with longer range, but would also do less damage. It was a lot of trial and error, and I’m still not done. I need to add the script where the enemies get damaged, but only part way. I also need to make it so that the long range blasts get removed from the screen after a second.

started my personal site! creating the nav bar is tricky, so I’m going to have to nitpick that next time. and I also need to work more on the structure and style of the site too.

Today I fixed a bug where the enemies in my game weren’t spawning at the very top of the playing field, they were spawning a little below it. After that I fixed a potential bug about being able to move the character out of bounds, and a very real bug about the program trying to spawn an attack sprite out of bounds. In fixing that, I also restrained the player a little more, making it harder to farm the enemies. Finally, I tried to add a theme song, but either something with the software didn’t work, or I have just failed to see the exit button for three or four days strait. The problem is likely that second option.

Today I finished version 2 of the golf ball holder that my brother asked for. The cap that was included in the last version proved ineffective and added quite a bit to the print time, so I did away with it and have decided that I’m going to try having the golf balls held in by a rubber band. We’ll see how that goes. I also doubled the wall thickness because the walls of the last version were flexible and weak. Enjoy!

I designed a golf ball holder for my brother. it is designed to hold 3 golf balls and has a lid so they don’t fall out. Next, I think I’m going to take it down to two golf balls so that the print time is decreased.

I worked a lot on my Sprig RPG today, and got a lot of work done. I also got the project done. For those of you who are familiar with sprig, the game will be released there soon (hopefully tommorrow). However, lets go through what I did today. First off, I updated the player character from a large blue block to a blue circle with an orange outline. second, I added a castle for the player to defend. I also made it fairly difficult for players to puppy gaurd one segment of the castle. Finnally, I made it so that the game gets progressively harder. That’s what I did today. Enjoy!

Today I did a lot of debugging and solved all known problems with the game. I (finally) fixed the health counter and made the blasts disappear shortly after they are fired. finally, I regulated the numbers of enemies to make them more manageable. Next time I’m going to do the final graphic design and then add some sort of castle for the player to defend. Enjoy!

I worked on debugging for both yesterday and today. I had one particular problem where the player could attack the enemies in the game, but the attack would do nothing to the enemy. I fixed that, and now I only have a few more bugs to fix. Right now, I still have to fix the health counter, and then I have to figure out how to make the blasts disappear about a half-second after the player brings them into existence. Enjoy!

I worked on fighting mechanics today for my sprig RPG. I have it so that you can blast the enemy sprites with the IJKL buttons, and then move around with the WASD buttons. There was a lot of tweaking in the code today, but it works. I haven’t fixed the health counter yet, but I think I know what’s wrong, and I plan to fix it soon. Enjoy!

I continued to work on the Sprig RPG today. Initially, I had planned for there to be some kind of wall building mechanic in the game, but I realized that might be a little over my head, so I put that on the shelf for now. I created an initial game loop today, and it’s working okay. The one problem I’ve run into is the health counter. In the game, you start at 10 health I tried to make it so that after every hit you go down by one, but after the first hit you go up to 90, and then it counts down by ten after that. I’m going to try and figure that out next week. Enjoy!

I made replacement tuning pegs for an old guitar. The hardest part was probably making sure that I had the letters inserted correctly to the sides of the tuning pegs. follow the instructions on the printables page, or in the README. they say the same things.
Have Fun!

I have this old guitar that’s kind of broken, and it’s missing some tuning pegs, so I designed some new ones in tinkercad. It took a while to get the measurements from the guitar, and I really don’t know if they actually are going to fit. I’m printing them now, so well find out in about 5 minutes. Also, thanks to Sunjot and Elliott-entity on Slack for helping me figure out how to make a devlog.

Update from 5 minutes later. - The tuning pegs work just fine, but if by some miracle they work on your guitar, it would probably be a good idea to glue them on with hot glue or superglue or something similar. I’m also going to camp for two weeks, and therefore won’t be able to do anything more until I get back. Check out the repository!
