today, sitting in the subway & waiting for/on my train, i refactored the advice page with a new Article class to dynamically display articles and created a new article detail page!

• updated advice.html to loop through articles, all objects of class Article in models.py, and display them dynamically
• added article.html template and the URL article/<int:article_id>
• added new CSS styles for article layout and text formatting (especially pre HTML blocks)

i tried to upload images for the article cards into the database, but in production, i would need to find a cloud service provider (…and i need more )… so i reversed my hard work and uploaded the images to the static folder instead.

additionally:

• moved the welcome modal and the refreshing notification/progress report modal HTML from index.html to layout.html so that the users would be able to see them in other pages of the website & debugged this
• debugged / cleaned up the logic and code for the tracking page’s fill-when-blank graphics.

• implemented, improved, and debugged task completion function components and edge case logic.
• tracked down and debugged one case of subtask handling error in addHTMLCompletedRefreshingTask() by changing the original JS key ‘subTasks’ to ‘subtasks’ and ‘parentTask’ to ‘parent_task’.
• added CSRF tokens to layout.html to enable POST methods for the general record/ and setLastDate() functions.
• debugged track.js to solve naming conflict in repeated uploads.
• added confetti and fireworks effect to task completion animations.
• moved Lumi from top of screen to stay in the sidebar for the user’s continuous view.

• migrated task completion recording function to Django (work-in-progress, not tested thoroughly).
• debugged and refactored the completion of tasks and updating completed tasks for improved performance and smooth HTML animation sequences & transitions. [added a new boolean condition to updateCompletedDiv so that it wouldn’t need to re-add the tasks every time it ran. yay performance improvement!]
