fuck fuck fuck, I tried writing a lexer, this… piece of -code- doesn’t wanna work, gotta rewrite it (yes, I barely ever publish devblogs, this is why its near 10 hours)
working on primitives, changed plans (now I won’t try to make the compiler super good from the start, just a carry to bootstrap) and so on
shaping the project, burned out
Started work on TOME, so, tome is designed to be easily embeddable (because I literally saw how shitty toml++ is to embed) and being easy to write and read
still stuck on asm, but finished more shit (I achieved independence from libc, still better than C++) overall cool, but should finish and pack up with the library and start lexer
went a bit crazy with primitives and asm (still working on them, but they’re starting to get shape, most still just stubs)
Tried to fix a bug, couldn’t, fuck C++, gonna try and rewrite everything in C (P.S. C++ is a pile of shitty compromises)
