So, just came back after a long break because I needed to review for school. PlatformIO doesn’t want to cooperate so I have to deletea everything and start from scratch. I will update when some code will be rewritten.

Updates:

• I had some problems with platformio and list all of my code from this project, but I have saved the code on another computer and I will repair the problem
• I created a code to connect to my phone through bluetooth.

Updates

• Found a name for the hackpad
• Submitted the final product
• Created a new CAD case design
• Updated the pcb layout to have a rotary encoder
• Finalized the code.

Hardware:

• Finished the first version of the hack pad
• Finished the Schematics
• Finished the pcb layout

Firmware:

• Created a code to copy, paste, vol up, and vol down with 4 buttons

CAD:

• Created the first version but I’m not happy with it
• Committed everything above to my git repost

To Do:

• Create a new version of the hackpad to add more functions
• add a screen to display cute animations
• modify the cad so that the case is functional and practical
• Edit the code and find a fitting name for the HackPad

Hardware

I finished the schematics and pcb layout for the custom esp32 version one for my project, ordered it and will test it out in the future.

Software

I am starting to code the UI (User interface) of my device and it should not take me too long to code everything.

Hardware:

• Added a total of 7 buttons, left, right, up, down, volume up, volume down, and select.

Software:

• Modified the code so it allows the user to access folders and view mp3 files and navigate through the MicroSD card contents

To Do:

• Update the code so it connects to bluetooth earphones
• Update the code so it can read .txt files
• Find a way to display color on the screen

Finished wiring the MicroSD card module to the ESP32. Finnally finished the code for the ESP32 to check what is inside it after working on it for 3 hours. First real git commit for the code.

I am working on a MP3 player with a ESP32 as “brains” for the project. During the coding part to detect if a button is pressed I encoutered a problem and can’t solve it. If someone could help me troubleshoot my problem would be greatly appreciated.
