I built Savora, an AI-powered pantry management web app that helps users organize ingredients, reduce food waste, and discover recipes based on what they already have. The app includes pantry tracking, recipe generation pages, ingredient management, and recipe saving features with a clean, responsive interface.

The most challenging part was connecting all the pages together, managing the data flow, and preparing the project for deployment on GitHub Pages. I also learned about project structure, GitHub, hosting, and why API keys should never be exposed in frontend code.

I’m proud that this is one of my largest web projects so far. I designed and built the interface myself and learned a lot while debugging and improving the user experience.

To test the project: open the homepage, navigate between the Pantry, Ingredients, and Recipes pages, add ingredients, and explore the interface. The AI recipe generation is currently a placeholder because the API key has been removed before publishing for security reasons.

Today I worked on improving the Savora AI Pantry app. I redesigned the UI, added recipe saving functionality, improved the pantry and recipe pages, fixed several layout issues, and connected the different pages together. I also worked on integrating AI recipe generation and spent time debugging API issues and refining the overall user experience. The app is becoming more polished and easier to use.
