We would like to share our project Nicet (a combination of Nice & Net).It is a smart, local
network filtering system, built to create a safe digital environment for children by blocking
inappropriate web content.
The software automatically detects and blocks network connections to restrict access to unsafe
content.We use Go (a language developed by Google) as the tool for connection blocking due to
its high performance.Python then reads the whitelists and blacklists to determine if a site is
safe.If a site is not found on either list, it is passed to a local AI model for the final judgment—for
which we selected Gemma 4 (an open-weights AI model developed by Google).
