A web os inspired by popular anime series One Piece.

-The challenging part: implementing time in settings window, for multiple time zones, creating activity monitor, an web browser, most of the external sites were not working, so i reused the site I created in APOD project and anything you search or enter is opened in a new window. note: this is only a temporary fix until i find a way around.

I really like the UI, snappy animations and the one-click to change wallpaper feature, also new ones can be added by just inserting a file inside the /src/assets/wallpapers folder it improves the user experience in certain ways.

Just click the demo link to check it out.

I created a new-tab site using NASA APOD. It’s so good that I have already started using it and telling my friends about it.

  • Implemented caching for dates and images
  • No need to ping the API on every “new tab” action
  • A simple search engine switcher and date picker
  • Easy one click to add/ remove the shortcuts

At the very start, i was facing issues with the NASA API, turns out the issue was with my DNS.

The one particular thing I really like about this project is that
I implemented caching, although it wasn’t any rocket science but still it was my first time doing it.
In future, I’ll keep using it and change it according to my needs.

Created a new-tab site using NASA APOD.

  • The image refreshes everyday.
  • Caching is used to reduce API calls
  • A simple datepicker lets you use APODs from past dates
  • Search engine selector to choose between google and duckduckgo, might add other SEs later
  • Neuromorphism UI for a clean and modern look

Finished up the personal site project, although it wasn’t very challenging techincally speaking, it does take quite a bit of creative thinking. Its my first time creating a personal website-type thing so please don’t judge.

I built Slacky-Whacky a Slack bot with a reluctant personality that’d rather not be helping you, but does anyway. The biggest challenge was wrapping my head around how Slack bots actually work under the hood: the event model, OAuth scopes, and getting the bot to respond correctly to messages. I’m proud of giving it a distinct personality that makes interactions feel a bit more entertaining than your average bot. To test it, just join the channel in the demo link and send it a slash command like /slacky-help and it’ll respond, albeit a bit begrudgingly.
