This is actually my very first time diving into hardware, and honestly, I used to think PCB design was super intimidating and complicated. But after messing around for a bit and reading through the Hack Club guides, I actually managed to make it work, so I’m super grateful for that! Getting my hands dirty with hardware for the first time felt surprisingly fun and exciting.I’ve pretty much wrapped up the main design process! I started by setting up the schematic in KiCad, picking out the components, and organizing a 3x3 switch layout alongside the XIAO. After that, I assigned all the footprints, imported everything into the PCB editor, and tackled the routing—which was a bit tricky when tracks got blocked, but using vias to layer jumps saved the day. Lastly, I drew the Edge.Cuts frame to get a clean board outline and checked out the final 3D render.Right now, I’m just planning to polish and tweak a few small details to make sure everything looks super clean and ready for production. I’ll definitely keep pushing this project forward and update my progress on Devpost soon!
