Finally installed a Nema 17 as the base motor for the arm. The old Nema 14 often struggled to move the correct number of steps due to too much load. The old one had 12Ncm while the new one has 45Ncm :D. I obviously dont have anymore problems with the base motor missing steps… Also the new base with the integrated magnet holder and bearing ring is way more practical than the old design. You wont notice a difference visually and its ugly af with all the cables so yall are getting another rendering:
