Welcome to my first devlog! I am building a GameBoy emulator in Rust!!
Didn’t Register
The first step was emulating the registers. The GB has 8 8-bit registers, and sometimes they are combined 2-together to form 16-bit registers. 1 of the registers, register f, is the flag register. It’s upper four bits are different flags for things like carry and half carry.
Didn’t Compute
Next, I had to start making the cpu struct. It has to be capable of executing commands, like ADD, so there is a command enum with different commands, though it only has ADD right now, and I still need to figure out all the possible ADD targets.
