Components placements , Frame & CFD
for the new Drone design the placements and the frame of the components matters a lot because its helps in reducing weight and keeping it balanced through constant speed and also not concentrate all the weight on a specific point (weight distribution), to model the frame correctly i needed to be sure that the prototype Aerodynamics are correct and balanced without causing to much drag on the cone and on the wings thanks to the water droplet body and the aerofoil wings the drag was significantly less and the main points causing the drag where the points at which the air and the body would first impact and the drag caused by it was mostly negligible allowing the drone to fly at its true capacity rather than being a literal flying brick
Software used
- fusion 360 (modeling/CAD)
- Simscale (CFD analysis , Incompressible fluid (air) )
Reading used
- speed / velocity inlet - 83.33m/s
- pressure outlet - 0 / constant
- walls of the simulation box , Slip walls settings used
