New concept for streamline! - Due to my new simulation of the drone flaring and doing some analysis i found out that the flaring provides little to no aerodynamic advantage and instead adds up more weight to the drone , simply said the new analysis showed that a classic fpv drone wont bring up the aerodynamic advantage i am looking for instead a pod drone with a uni-body with integrated chassis would be better for speed and aerodynamics i used NASA Airfoil sim to simulate the NACA wing profile And applied specific Camber angles (0.3 Degrees) which almost eliminates most of the drag on the wing while the current stage of the drone in prototype and mockups

Software’s / services used

  • Fusion 360
  • Simscale
  • NASA Airfoil Sim (student)
  • Airfoil plotter
  • Airfoil DAT to Spline ( or any other fusion 360 Plugin for the conversion of CSV file to spline for accurate Airfoil Profile)

Although i wasted a ton of time on the classic but atleast i got to learn more complex modeling such as T-spline and Surface modeling for such surfaces .

I am currently not using ansys because using ansys for small task is a waste of time and also my ansys is kind of having a crack down idk why
