Asobi Devlog #15

Hello everyone, welcome to Devlog #15 of Asobi!

Okay, so in this update,I have to inform about the bugs fixed and some hosting issue I am facing …

Bug Fixes

I fixed some bugs related to the scores.

Sometimes, scores were not being updated properly, and sometimes I was being redirected from the username page back to the game list again and again.
And yes, I did use AI to help me help me spot and debug these bugs.

Leaderboard Icon Removed

I also removed the Leaderboard sign from the game list.

Obviously, there isn’t really a reason to show the leaderboard there because no game has been selected yet, so there is no specific leaderboard to display.

Trying to Ship Asobi

Right now, I am trying to ship Asobi as soon as possible, but I haven’t been able to find a reliable hosting site yet.

Previously, I used InfinityFree, but due to some problems, I am currently unable to properly ship the site using it.

To be more precise, I uploaded a GIF that is around 700 KB, but as soon as I reload the file manager in Infinityfree, for some reason its size increases to around 6 MB.

Because the file becomes much larger, the loading time also increases, which makes the site feel slow adn laggy.

I found another hosting service as well, but I forgot its name. I will mention it below once I remember.

The problem with that one is that it **doesn’t provide SSL certification for free **, so the browser keeps showing warnings such as “Not Secure site”.

So yeah, if I find a reliable hosting service, or if the problem with InfinityFree gets fixed, I should be able to ship Asobi really soon.

Loading Screen

One more thing I added is a loading screen.

For now,I have only added it to guess.html.

README Update

I have also added the credits to the README regarding the loading screen design =)
