SailPad

As a sailing instructor and regatta sailor, I’ve found it frustrating and confusing to keep track of the start countdown while managing everything else happening on the water. That's how the idea of SailPad was born: a macropad inspired by a sailing cockpit panel that brings together the information I use most during a race. SailPad would include a start countdown, tack and gybe timers, wind logging through a rotary encoder, and an OLED display that presents all the essential information at a glance. The goal is to create an intuitive tool that makes managing race timing simpler and faster.
