When it doesn’t work out

yepp, it didn’t work out this time and it’s totally FINE. a few things I learnt along the way, that I thought I might share with you all.

What was it?

So basically my app SMC_breach has placeholder buttons right now for:

Charge to...

and

Charge Now

both of these serve the purpose of charging control. The idea was simple AF:

Gonna let these buttons speak to Darwin and then write the specific hex values (I suppose that is what you call them unofficially).

Writing those values would basically let us tell the physical hardware that hey u gotta stop taking in current now! or hey stop taking current into the battery at X%

Nonetheless after countless tries I failed within that 5 hour timespan, I’m gonna give it a shot again and I love to fail fast because the amount of data and automatic guidance u get is pretty cool!
