Hikari Devlog #20

Hello everyone, and welcome to Devlog #20 of Hikari! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded my last devlog. I did work on a couple of things and was a bit busy, so I’m uploading a big chunk of work this time. (￣▽￣)ゞ

Streaming Links

Okay, so talking about the updates, I have added streaming links, and I will add a video demonstrating it in action below.

I have added streaming links for both manga and movies.

I’ll explain about that below.

Manga Streaming Links

For manga, I have added:

• MangaDex
• MyAnimeList
• Anime-Planet

These are the streaming/reading links I have currently added for manga.

Movie Streaming Links

For movies, I have added:

• Netflix
• Prime Video
• W Movies
• Hydra HD

So, I’m sort of using some of the non-official sites as well, because the search results from these non-official sites were better than some of the official ones(at least for my site).

Why Did I Use Non-Official Sites?

First, I tried using Apple TV+ and HBO Max, but I was rarely getting any movies from there in the search results.

The search optimization for movies on W Movies and Hydra HD was way better, so that’s why I decided to use them for now.

And I’m also planning to change Prime Video, because for most of the movies I have tried searching, it was not able to show the required movies.

So, I’m planning to change Prime Video as well.

I think I’ll change that in the future.

That’s why I used some of the non-official ones, and that’s also one of the reasons why it took me longer to complete these updates. (╥﹏╥) . (There are other sites i did try but they didnt work either.)
