Devlog #1 for AVM (A Virtual Machine)

The screenshot shown contains the code implementation, since there is no GUI, Output, or text printing done yet. :)

This devlog was just getting the basic instructions and assembler working. These are the commands implemented so far:

STOP
REG
COPY
LOAD
STORE
ADD
SUB
MUL
DIV

Other things done:

• Registers (32 general purpose,)
• 50MB of RAM (Single-width), though it can be scaled further
• Basic label engine

The VM is still missing a few key commands, such as

JMPTRUE
JMPFALSE
LBL
ECMP
GCMP
LCMP

But after implementing those, you can basically make any program! I’m hoping to ship it with something quite large, like a C compiler or a small OS. But that’s still in the future.
