Hello! Since the start of June, I have been working on and off (interrupted by exams :/) on making an orbital mechanics simulator, and I discovered stardance a week or so ago! Since then I have done a bit of work on it, but its honestly been quite frustrating as I have been trying to learn OpenGL from scratch as a very new coder, so I haven’t got to any actual physics yet. I am really interested in graphics programming, but as the focus of this project is orbital mechanics, I am going to start using a higher-level library like VisPy soon. But first, I must see through my current objective, which is trying to get a planet orbiting a star in 2D. I am working on getting two bodies to render at the same time, then I will get the planet orbiting the star. I have added some screenshots of my playing around with OpenGL :) Any tips welcome! (also how do you start a new line in this text editor when I press enter nothing happens o.o)
