Had a bit of a rough time
if anyone has a recommendation for a reliable adjustable PSU or knows a design workaound for sliprings Please hit me up!!
Good Stuff:
-
Parts arrived!!! Had a great time trying out the new parts like a Nema 17 Stepper motor (which is way overkill but idc, probably need it later on anyway).
-
Started the Cad. Its hit or miss, some parts work, others dont.
-
printed Parts. As you can see in the picture, i started printing some parts from the Cad i was confident int, though i need to adjust some tolerances. (They were all printed on a Prusa Mini+ with .2mm layer height)
Bad stuff:
-
To power the motors I need a better power supply than a 9v battery. Will probably buy an adjustable psu soon, since i dont want to power every project off of a battery pack, but itll be expensive… the base of the arm also probably needs a slip ring (if anyone has ideas to not need one im very open) and some longer wires. Thats why im having problems with the cad design, since i failed to account for those thing.
-
Forgot to track pretty much all the Cad work with lookout (who on earth remembers to turn that on…)
Problems are a bit of a bummer, since it means waiting on parts to arrive and, since im great at procrastinating, my summer break is going to be over somewhat soon.
Thx for reading my rant, thx to the contest organisers and if anyone has a recommendation for a reliable adjustable PSU or knows a design workaound for sliprings Please hit me up!!
