Back on the ever-growing pile of bugs and QoL from devlog #20’s hydra fight — turns out killing all the tiny bugs once doesn’t mean they stay dead forever, more just showed up in the meantime. Made real progress anyway.
—The Great Suffering—
1 — A Few Spotify Bugs, Actually Squashed
Chased down and fixed a handful of Spotify-side bugs this round. Not a full audit like earlier devlogs, just real ground covered on stuff that’s been sitting in the pile.
2 — Resizing QA
Went through resizing behavior across the app and did a real QA pass on it — the kind of thing that’s easy to skip until someone resizes a window in a way you never tested and everything looks wrong.
3 — The Multi-Channel Stream Queue Idea
Had the idea to implement multi-channel support for Streamer Queue. Started on it, and it’s genuinely probably too big to land fully before LTS ships — most likely going in as a stub for now rather than a finished feature, with the real implementation following after.
“horrible idea” is doing some self-aware lifting there and I stand by it

Q: What is a “progger”?
A: A human programmer. You. The one who mistook a cat for their own exhaustion, and honestly it could’ve gone either way.
Q: What’s a “stub” mean for multi-channel here?
A: The scaffolding and interface exist, the real functional implementation doesn’t yet. Placeholder with intent, not a real feature.
Q: Is this the same bug pile from devlog #20?
A: Same pile, refilled since then. Small bugs apparently regenerate on their own schedule, not just when you’re actively fighting them.
Q: Why is multi-channel “horrible” if you’re building it anyway?
A: Because scope-wise it’s a lot more than it looks like on paper, and admitting that upfront beats pretending it’s simple.

A: About to happen, actually, this time. Cat’s taking the credit either way.
