I lied. Posted devlog #14 saying the site was done and shipped, and the deploy pipeline crashed basically the second it went out. So that’s fun. On the bright side, v5.4.2 also went out this round, and it’s actually solid.

Website pipeline ate itself right after devlog #14 posted, which is its own kind of poetic. Meanwhile the app side had a genuinely good run — six real fixes landed, one of them embarrassing enough to name directly.

1 — The Website Pipeline Crashed Right After I Said It Shipped
Devlog #14 said done. Pipeline said otherwise, immediately. Working on getting it back up, this is very much a “developing situation” and not a “resolved” one yet.
2 — Listener Requests Auto-Queue Now
Requests from listeners now auto-queue instead of needing a manual step to actually land in the queue.
3 — Audio Literally Never Played, Whoops
Exactly what it says. Somewhere in there, audio just wasn’t playing. Found and fixed, extremely glad this one got caught.

4 — Found It: Join Links Were Missing A Slash
Root cause of a chunk of shared-play join weirdness — the links were missing a slash. One character. Fixed, join links actually resolve correctly now.
5 — Host Room Button Actually Tells You Something Now
The host room button used to just sit there. Now it actually communicates state back to you instead of leaving you guessing whether anything happened.
6 — Host Room Was Dropping Every Tick Forever
Host room had a bug where it was dropping on every single tick, indefinitely, rather than staying stable. Fixed so the room actually holds instead of degrading in real time.
7 — yt-dlp Was 5 Months Stale, Updated
The bundled yt-dlp from devlog #10 hadn’t been touched in 5 months. Updated. Stale extraction tooling breaking silently is exactly the kind of thing that sneaks up on you.

A: Yes, same feature area, this was the actual root cause of some of the lingering weirdness there.
