I'm building a very lightweight online audio streaming app, lighter than the music player that comes built into Android. The reason I made this is because whenever I played a game and had music on, whether from my own music player, Spotify, or YouTube Music, it always got killed by the OOM killer and couldn't come back. I looked for a lightweight open source music app and there wasn't one. Even ViMusic, which people often mention as light, still loses to how aggressive the OOM killer is on my low-end phone. So I decided to build my own online music app as light as possible, in terms of features and the libraries I use, trying to keep everything as minimal as I can without giving up the experience. Honestly this whole thing exists just for phones like mine, the ones everyone else forgets about.
