SHIPPING TIME!!!
This is a little earlier than I expected to ship, but I think it’s about ready! (and I want to start working on other things)
Flashcard Importing and Reordering
You can now import flashcards! One flashcard per line, with each line having two sides separated by a delimiter of your choice. I suppose I should also add exporting, but I can always do that later. (I don’t think many other people will actually use this app)
I skipped drag and drop for reordering as Tungsten showed me how much of a pain in the a– that can be. You get an up arrow and down arrow, that’s it.
Settings Redesign
Only slightly. I went for a look that matches the dashboard a little better and makes the UI easier to read. The save button was tricky to place; as putting it near the settings it actually works for made it blend in too much. Term editing doesn’t require saving, but this is the best place to put the button. I also added the log out button right under this!
Demo
The app now has a proper demo mode. I think I implemented this one a little cleaner than Tungsten, not requiring a user with ID 0 and a specific password to be in the DB. It just fakes you having a session/user and works off of that.
Bugs, bugs galore!
Oh man I fixed so many. I’ve been putting off a lot of these and some I just discovered as well.
The big one was that meeting exclusions just weren’t working. It ended up being an issue with code I changed weeks ago, that I thought wouldn’t affect very much.
Another bug was task due dates were just incorrect. You type “tomorrow” and it is due 2 days in advance. You wouldn’t believe what caused this one, and say it with me: timezones!!!!!
And that’s all!
This has been one of the most fun apps to develop imo (minus all the timezone issues, those were the worst thing I have ever done), and I hope you find some use of this project!
