DEVLOG 1

Very excited guys! this is my first ever declog, after a lot of trial and error I have finally been able to add and share my work with everyone. I think this project is really cool so id really like if you checked it out :)

Side note: Even though I’ve been working on this project for the past 3-4 days, and done 8hrs+ of work it’s my first time so excuse me for that.

Progress

Overall

1. Started designing plan
2. Designed primary idea
3. Started working on PCB and Mechanical Design.

PCB

1. Started designing PCB in KiCad
2. Created full schematic
3. Started work on PCB design
4. Routed PCB
5. Fixed different issues in design as well as in the wiring
6. Checked all connections
7. Fixed the schematic for easier trace routing.
8. Added mounting holes in the end

CAD

1. Created 3 idea project designs for the macropad
2. Fixed different issues in all designs
3. Landed on using bearings for ring movement.
4. Decided on final design.
5. Enhanced design, but not finished yet for the mechanical part.

Future plans

1. Finish the final work on PCB
2. Create fully functional final ring design.
3. Create full enclosure.
4. Add all parts into Fusion 360 design to see entire assembly.
