as a complete novice, i really had no idea on wtf was going on, so i followed the guide mostly to get started. after the inital part, ive decided to make my bot a bit more complex, since i really don’t think making another run-of-the-mill slack bot would help anyone.
basically, my plan is to make a detailed advisor. of course, i’ll still have the “joke” and “quote” function, as with basically everyone else, but i’m gonna add more functions, such as cooking, movies and music recommendations.
so far, my intended utilities are: food, music, movies, translate, definitions and weather. i’m gonna be installing slack block kit so that i can clean up the UI, and i’m working on the backend right now to actually implement the functions, as well as insert apis so that the bot runs. once i’ve added all the functions, i’ll hook up the bot to the server so yall can use it.
