Devlog # 005
Today’s mission was moving GlitchPad from the schematic into an actual PCB. I imported all the footprints into KiCad, drew the board outline, and spent a good amount of time arranging every component to match my original sketch. The Seeeduino XIAO sits on the left with the USB accessible, the OLED is at the top, the arrow keys, Shift and Space are placed for gaming the EC11 rotary encoder is on the right and all 20 MINI-E RGB LEDs are positioned around the board and under the keys for that RGB gamer vibe Then came routing… I managed to route the PCB but the Design Rule Check decided to throw a bunch of “shorting two nets” errors at me so now I’m debugging the routing and making sure every connection matches the schematic It’s a little frustrating but it’s all part of the PCB learning arc.
