After so long, we finally have VISUAL IMPROVEMENT!!!
Before we start, I would appreciate if y’all followed modOS!

New Additions:

• You can now install(via packer get) or remove(via packer remove) ANY PACKAGE(from existing directory, use packer fetch for a list)
• You get some propriety software for modOS so it is easier for you to do stuff :)
• Package delivered commands! Developers can implement their own commands and API’s to the modOS ecosystem!
• API integration into packages
• Dependencies work flow
• modOS-VT has officially been made modOS, with the original being retired under modOS-pre. It will be removed from GitHub soon.
• And MANY more minor updates!

Things that are needed to be fixed

• Guest option does not work, special rules needed to be implemented.
• packer.get API blindly makes a new blob file every time it is used(potential memory leak)
• There is no settings feature(yet), so the accounts are pretty useless rn. Sorry.
• And yeah that’s it to my knowledge

DEVELOPERS!!!

You can officially use the modOS API to make an application for the modOS ecosystem! Sadly, we do not have any documentation, but you can see the existing packages I made for reference, I tried my best to make it easy on y’all!

Publishing

If you are a developer that made an application for modOS(tysm!), there sadly is no official way to register the application to modOS(yet!). It is still being implemented. Please hold on to your application until there is a method. Follow this project to be updated for when it is implemented! Thank you!

AI has been heavily used in this part of the project due to the advanced levels of TS used(that I can’t do myself). In my defense, this is the first project I ever made using TypeScript and Vite. Almost every new feature exposes me to another new thing(and problem) to learn!
