More of today was spent working on gathering all of my materials again, making sure that I was able to have some type of ground to start working. I did have to spend quite a bit of time trying to again look for the right power source, but was finally able to find one that was available to get locally.
I also spent a good amount of time finding the sensors that I’d want to use, deciding on using both orientation with a 3-axis IMU as well as using sound with one of the Arduino type microphone sensors to be able to make some LED movements reliant on the audio environment as well. The cube will probably be about 10cmx10cm, since the LED screens are about 8mm^2, so the rest of the room will just be a custom 3D printed case to hold all of the electronics inside as well as the LED lights themselves.
Right now, the biggest thing I’m trying to decide between is how I’ll wire all of the pieces together, and I think it’ll be some form of using 18/24 AWG wire to link them all with the power source located outside of the cube since the bank would be way to big to fit inside the cube itself.
