Parts Research and Prep

I regularly compete in FTC competitions, often having to fly to events halfway across my rather big country. When we get to events, we often find we lack the tools we need to succeed or repair parts at competition.

I would like to design and build a fully custom, foldable, belt (Cartesian) 3D Printer that is designed purely for travel and competitive robotics. It would be designed to fit and operate in a rugged travel case like the one attached which can easily fit in checked baggage. From what I’ve found when researching, a design like this would be a world first (based of publicly available information)

This session, I worked on some preliminary parts research. It looks like I’ll need to attempt to make my own belt build plate, which will prove interesting.
