Dev Vlog #2 — Calculator is Done!
Hey everyone, welcome back to another WebOS update!
Since the last devlog, I’ve finished the second app :
a Calculator !!!.
It can:
- Perform basic calculations
- Use multiple operators in one expression
- Handle parentheses correctly
- Display accurate results
- Run inside the WebOS window system
One thing I’m pretty happy with is that it doesn’t use JavaScript’s built-in eval() function.
Instead, it processes expressions itself, which gives me more control over how calculations work.
Next, I’ll be improving the window system and starting work on a File Explorer.

Brother, it’s easy to tell that it’s AI from the devlog to the project itself. I don’t want to hurt you, but it is not recommended to use AI for completing all of the project.
Hm… no offense but this looks like a complete copy and paste of an AI generated devlog just to get it over with. If I’m wrong, then my bad, but I want to warn you that devlogs are something you should write yourself to reflect, record, and show not just others but yourself how you made your project. They are something you should be proud of, a personal tool that will help you immensely, and almost an art. Complete copying from AI to make a devlog defeats the whole purpose. AI can be a tool in making your reflection clearer but it should be you who writes it and for yourself not just for others.
Hmm… something feels off… anyway, I’d recommend that you’d write your own devlogs and show what you have learned.

Awesome! Remember that devlogs are a personal art and important tool for you, let AI guide you but not take over! Good luck with your project!
Looks cool! I know enough people have said it already, but your project will get rated higher if the people doing it see that you put time and effort into making a good product. The point of this is that you get rated on effort/time, and vibecoding the whole thing kind of defeats the purpose :)

@MaxMadeGG i changed with my own though , but is it still looks like ai ?
i am quite good at writing devlogs as i have some past experence
@TXJ_PROGRAMER no it’s ok i was just quite joking the only thing that made me think about AI is the project status with the yellow icon because AI puts this in status things often
