base odyssey-core finished!

whats done:

  • everything from initial commit and second devlog (too lazy to type it out lol)
  • Follower.java: combines two vectors for velocity (translational vector, what keeps the robot on the path through arc-length implicitization plus drive vector, the vector that follows the bezier curve) and two different acceleration scalars (centripetal, calculated thruogh v^2*k, and tangential, just the tangential accel from VelocityProfile.java). This in total outputs a DriveSignal that drives the robot.
  • updated DriveSignal that includes forward and strafe acceleration for centripetal pass
  • MecanumDrive.java: putting it together. Takes in a drive signal, and outputs actual drive commands that make the wheels move.
  • StaticCoefficientOpMode.java: opmode that helps you determine kS and kV (static friction coeff and velocity coeff)

what im working on

  • advanced heading control: tangential heading, constant heading, target-based heading, etc.
  • GUI (finally): gui that helps you create a path in a user-friendly way and returns a JSON of pts that you can use while coding

ambitious goals:

  • turning into a maven lib?
  • marketing to young/rookie teams?
  • website with documentation?
